Attorney Johnny L. Griffin III is of Counsel to Hitzke & Ferran, LLP. After receiving his undergraduate degree from California State University at Sacramento went on to obtain his law degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 1984. Mr. Griffin has been licensed to practice law in California since 1985. He is also licensed in the United States Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern District Courts as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Griffin has a long distinguished background working as an Assistant United States Attorney. Mr. Griffin acted as the Civil Rights Coordinator for the United States Attorney’s office Eastern District of California from 1995 to 1998. He than was appointed as the Assistant Director, office of Legal Education for the United States Department of Justice before entering into private practice. Mr. Griffin is an experienced trial attorney with trial experience in both the State of California as well as the in Federal Justice system. He has obtained numerous favorable verdicts on behalf of the government offices he represented as well as in private practice prosecuting injury claims as well as defending criminal prosecutions. His trial experience and success out of court room negotiating settlements have garnered him many accolades and the distinction of being selected as a Super lawyer by his peers. Mr. Griffin when not handling complex criminal matters, employment discrimination and catastrophic injury claims with the firm, also handles Sports law matters as WNBA certified Player-Agent, sits as a Settlement Conference Judge Pro Tem at the Sacramento County Superior Court or as a legal commentator for KCRA 3.
